Hilltop House

Christchurch, New Zealand

This contemporary hillside family home follows the natural contours of the site with the main living and outdoor area elevated on the first floor leading out to a large in-ground swimming pool. Two distinctive gable ends, slightly offset, house parallel volumes and the extensive glazing captures sea views. The house is orientated to the north to capture all day sun along with accesses to a number of different outdoor areas sheltered from the prevailing winds.
